Lady is a senior who came to GRR as an owner surrender. Although she is approximately 14 years old, she still enjoys life and likes to play. Unfortunately, her surrendering owner could no longer provide what Lady needs.

Personality: Lady has had no accidents in her new home and is allowed to roam the main living areas of the home. Foster mom has another dog and the two get along just fine, especially on walks. Lady barked at a neighbor dog through the fence, but it didn’t last long. Lady has been around children and does very well with them, but she never met a kitty. She is relaxed and calm in the car, watching out the window for a while till she decides it’s time to lay down. When going for her walkies on the leash, she has a bit of spring in her step, but she gets tired and her walks aren’t too long.

Inside the house, Lady comes into the kitchen while mom is cooking. She tried the old begging number when foster mom ate but ignoring her made her realize that wasn’t going to work so she now lays in her bed. At first she wanted to sleep on the couch, but Lady now has a big new bed of her own that's where she loves to sleep now.

Lady has never said no to a meal, although her weight is just fine. She has sore teeth, so she eats slowly, then moves on to see if if her foster sibling's bowl has any leftovers.

Lady has a couple of rope toys she likes to play with (tug-of-war, of course) and some fetch. She will bring it when she is ready to play. She sleeps soundly through the night.

She was great with her first bath and she definitely love being brushed. Her ears need cleaning and she is gradually learning to cooperate with that task.

Lady’s energy level is mild, and she is friendly, good-tempered, and well-mannered. She gets more excited when it’s time for a walk or go into the backyard. She is very sweet and has adapted well to her new environment after 14 years with someone else. She understands simple commands and words.

Ideal Home: Since she adapted so easily to her foster home, Lady will likely be happy with any family who loves her and takes good care of her. She's a sweet, loving companion. Is Lady right for you?
