Personality: Havely came in to GRR underweight and with some skin issues. Since not much is known about her life before GRR, this is not surprising. But in GRR and a new foster family's care, she’s gaining weight and has shown herself to be amazingly resilient and happy.

From day one, Havely has not had an accident in the house and she likes to hang out in her cozy crate in the dining room. The door stays open, so she can come and go as she pleases. When no one is home, she is happy being baby gated in the laundry room.

Havely gets all happy, bouncy and wiggly around children and she and the foster family’s standard poodle are fast friends already. They play rambunctiously and their favorite thing is to do big zoomies around the backyard. She’s very high energy and is the only dog that has ever been able to keep up with the very fast poodle. Havely has not met a cat yet.

She’s calm when riding in the car and when walking likes to follow along behind her buddy the poodle. She will retrieve occasionally and from the beginning seemed interested in the family pool. Now it seems she DOES love the water and enjoys a good romp in the pool.

Havely obviously has gotten used to all the attention she is getting, hence she’s a bit of a Velcro dog, wanting to be with someone all the time. Grooming makes her get all wiggly and silly.

Ideal Home: Havely would get along great with another dog that isn’t too dominant, because although she loves to play, she occasionally gets a bit overwhelmed. Havely would do fine as an only dog, too, as long as she got extra exercise from her human family. She probably would do best if someone were home all day, or at least some of the day. She’s fine with anything new that gets thrown at her. She picks up routines very quickly. Havely is a very smart girl.
