A super retriever, a hearty eater, a healthy boy, a big sweetie with a big personality! That’s what Pistol’s foster family says about him. This active, high-energy  boy still needs work on the leash, but he’s very smart and a fast learner. He really needs an active (no-cat) family who will give him tons of exercise and training to keep him out of mischief. 

Faster than a speeding bullet and smart as a whip! Lucky Pistol was rescued last summer from a life out in the country, spent living under  a trailer and, at night, confined in a tiny pen. His new owner loved him dearly and cared for him wonderfully,  but found that he was just a little too high-energy for her household. She’d taken him to obedience  classes, so he comes to GRR a very well-educated pup who knows many, many commands: sit, stay, come, down, wait at the door, wait before eating until he hears “free.” He’s fine with other dogs, even tiny ones – but NOT with cats. He hasn’t yet met a kitty he didn’t want to chase down!

This leggy guy has pep to spare and needs an active home who can give him lots of walks and play. He loves people and wiggles his whole body in delight. The way he sits right in front of you— RIGHT in front of you—and looks straight up at you and points that big nose of his... it just melts your heart.
