Amos
Update: 8/14
At mealtimes, Amos could give the Bissell Vac Cleaner with Double Cyclonic Action a run for its money. You may want to spread his food out a little bit to slow him down, but you can bet there won’t be a morsel left. (When we first got him, he was so hungry he was an eating machine. Great counter surfer! Great sneaker of dog food right out of the bag! Great pre-wash before the plates make it into the dishwasher!)
Amos is not a big tail wagger… he’s more likely to come up to you quietly, then put his head in your lap… then slide one paw down… then another… then all four feet… then do the full body flop and wait for the pets to come. I love his silky soft ears! He’ll make a great family dog!
What’s this?! It’s the Doublemint Twins, Golden version. Amos and his brother Apollo are a couple of cute redheads who wound up at the shelter. Luckily, we’ve got friends in high places, so the minute two black noses poked through the gates our contact was on the line: “The shelter just took in 2 Golden boys today. They are strays, so they won’t be able to leave until Tuesday. Just thought that I'd give you a headstart on them. They are both about a year old and they tested negative for heartworms.” Volunteers Liz and John zipped out the next day to meet the boys and gave them thumbs-up. “Just beautiful! Loving, warm, total lover boys.”
After a quick trip to the vet for check-ups and neuter surgery, the boys are settling into their foster homes. They are typical puppy live wires, just learning the ropes of indoor life. Good with other dogs, good with cats, bound to be super additions to your family.
More news to come!
